Neutralism is a word to love

A typeface won’t make bad writing seem good, but an inappropriate typeface can distract from good writing. Here is a great post from BadLanguage about the documentary “Helvetica,” celebrating the 50th anniversary of the most neutral of all typefaces.  My favorite quote from the video clip:

“The meaning is in the content of the text, and not in the typeface. And that’s why we loved Helvetica very much.” – Wim Crouwel
